Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business, system & technical requirements, solution designs and estimation planning.
• Work on requirement documents for creation and execution test scripts, test cases and user scenarios to provide optimal end-to-end test coverage.
• Write new test cases using automation framework and maintaining test scripts as per the Business Specifications and Functional Requirements
• Design and Implement QA test plans manually and automated Test solutions for Client/server and Web applications with Selenium WebDriver
• Design, prioritize, and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts.
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate qualitative and quantitative findings from tests, prepare test report, monitor bug resolution efforts and track results and known defects.
• Interface testing with many applications, validation of the feed thru Realtime transactions and also scheduled file transfers to the Interfacing application servers.
• Create/Review of Automated scripts & run in various stages of testing- Scrum/Integration Test/Stage/Production Validation Test
• Participate in agile ceremonies like Daily Scrum, grooming sessions, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Scrum of Scrums, Sprint Review and Product Demos.
• Identifying Automation Scenarios from the set of Test cases/User stories in scope of software release cycle.
• Ensuring Automation and Manual regression coverage to cater all release changes.
• Perform Functional Testing, End to End Testing, Regression testing, Smoke/Batch, Sanity and Ad-Hoc Testing.
• Perform Backend Testing, Web services testing, GUI Testing, accessibility testing, device testing
• Performing end to end validations for cloud migration on Azure
• Managing devices for testing
• Database Validation & data extractions from database systems using SQL/PLSQL queries.
• Write complex SQL Queries on different databases like Oracle and Postgres.
• Create Test Plans, Test Strategies, Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Data for Automation Test Scripts, Performance Test Scripts, White Box – Code Coverage Test Scripts and other Regression Test scripts.
• Identify and report defects, issues and design Gaps with iTrack, JIRA, HPQC, TDP, Rally.
• Creation and presentation for daily and weekly status reports.
• Recruiting, training, onboarding, and supporting new members in the team.
• Provide support for implementation of security practices and help projects in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) The benefit of the product to its user\customer is readily categorized and visible. 
• The role concerned with compliance to agreed process, standards and guidelines all of which are deemed appropriate (useful) within continuous process improvement initiative.
• Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate testing approach to ensure the compatibility of system components.
• Provide technical guidance or support for testing or troubleshooting of systems.
• Implement the experience in complex service order legacy flows including Enterprise U-verse, DTV and provide highest level of IT Technical support for technician dispatch.
• Demoes and training to the clients and end users

Additional Skills

• Expertise in creating and maintaining test plans, test strategies, and user scenarios to support end-to-end validation.

• Skilled in functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), with experience in defect tracking and resolution.
• Proficiency in using tools such as JIRA, Rally, HPQC, and iTrack for requirements management, issue tracking, and reporting.
• Experience in database validation and SQL queries to support backend testing and data verification.
• Ability to prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience participating in Agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos).
• Proven capability to train, onboard, and support team members and end users, including delivering product demos.
• Knowledge of business continuity planning (BCP), disaster recovery (DR), and compliance with process standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous process improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT, QA, or data-driven environments.
• Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience with test planning, UAT, functional testing, regression testing, and defect tracking.
